I should write on here more!

I think my website gets more facelifts than an ageing Hollywood actor. I just never seem to be happy with it. This then has the knock on affect of me not wanting to update it.

So I've decided it's time to change all that. I'm going to redesign it. Rebuild it. And then keep the damn thing updated!

I turn 29 in a couple of weeks. It depresses me a little as I'm not really sure where my twenties have gone. Sure I feel I have achieved some pretty big goals. I now do the job I want to do, and in a good London based agency. I have responsibility at work and have made myself "needed". These are good things. But I feel my "career mindedness" has made me miss out on things. I've lived in London for over years and have seen and done bugger all really.

I know I've created to-do lists in the past which I've not stuck to for whatever excuse. But I'm adding impotence to the new one. It's a "before I'm thirty" list. I so far have just two things on it.

1) Learn a language.

2) Learn some kind of musical instrument.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people would like to do these, so perhaps I'm not setting my sites very high, but let's put some perspective on what this means. I have no musical talent. Short of playing Guitar Hero on export the last time I made "music" would probably be about 23 years ago when I squeaked my way through three blind mice on the recorder. So it's a challenge.

I'm thinking of going for bass. It only has four strings so to my mind seems it should be easier. Would like to learn drums, but not sure it'd go down too well with the nieghbours.

Language wise; I could probably just about order a coffee in French. And possibly German. Both are fairly useless as I don't drink coffee. If I ever get round to seeing more of the world I don't want to be one of those annoying brits who get LOUDER AND TALK S L O W E R in order to be understood. Those people annoy me and I don't want to be one of them! Not really sure what to learn though. French seems the most sensible as I have a basic vocab that's probably still kicking about in my brain from GCSE, but it may well have been replaced by something “more important” by now.

This seems to have been a bit of an emo post. But moany stuff is easier to write than the good stuff. But life's pretty good.

New website should hopefully be up soon. I might even write a proper admin area for it this time round so I can actually post things… or maybe I'll use WordPress. I feel dirty for that last bit!
